Warner Music Poland Release Information



The anniversary edition of Breakout’s album “70a” released on a black CD to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Polskie Nagrania. This is Breakout’s second studio album, released in 1970.

This album is a classic of Polish blues. All songs were written by Tadeusz Nalepa, with lyrics by Bogdan Loebl and Franciszek Walicki (under the pseudonym Jacek Grań). The band features two outstanding musicians: Włodzimierz Nahorny and Józef Skrzek.

Tadeusz Nalepa recalled working on the album: “The nineteen-year-old, very talented pianist and bassist Józef Skrzek turned out to be a musical discovery. Working with him and Włodek Nahorny was a very important experience in my career. Where are those times and those musicians, when an album was recorded in a week…”

The album features many unique and timeless compositions, including: ‘Piękno’ (Beauty), “Nie znasz jeszcze życia” (You Don’t Know Life yet), “Dziwny weekend” (Strange Weekend) and “Skąd taki duży deszcz” (Why such Heavy Rain). Beautiful music and great, wise lyrics, all in the original vinyl sound. Simply good old blues...
