Celebrating 40 years of Arakain and rerelease of another cult album.

At the end of 2021, after more than 30 years, Arakain’s cult debut album “Thrash the Trash”, which defined Czech thrash metal and, in fact, metal as such, was released in a magnificent reissue. The bar was set very high back in 1991, and so it was eagerly awaited how the band itself would handle it. In the new line-up, where the basic trio of Aleš Brichta, Jiří Urban and Zdeněk Kub was complemented by the old guitarist Miroslav Mach and the talented drummer Štěpán Smetáček, the band decided to take a more complicated musical path compared to the first album. The result is the album “Schizofrenie” and much more technical, structured, compositionally more refined and arrangementally more colourful thrash.

Schizophrenia de facto has not a single weak point and is considered by the band’s numerous fans and music critics to be Arakain’s crowning achievement. In the new reissue, the album is once again released in an extremely successful remaster from SONO Records and with sensitively reconstructed cover art.

The CD version is released in a digipak including an expanded booklet with lyrics and a rich photographic feature.

The 180 g vinyl version is enriched with download codes that allow the owner to download the transcription of the original recording in hi-res.
