Guerilla Records Release Information



The recording of the only concert was made at Václav Havel’s estate in Hrádeček during a live performance on 22 April 1978. This performance became a symbol of the connection between the group of intellectuals around Václav Havel and the underground, and dissidents of all categories gathered in the audience. Although this is a recording more or less identical to the later “studio” version, this “barn” version has a kind of inner tension and a sense of urgency a level higher.

A number of first published photographs (Bednář, Kukal, Němec, Prokeš) in the sleeve and the sound carefully reconstructed by Ondřej Ježek are a matter of course. The image of the blue angel on the title comes from Joska Skalník, who did the cover art for the self-released “Hovězí porážka” and “Půlnoční myš” cassettes.
