Perhaps for the first time in the history of the band as it really was. A concert in full swing and at a time when it was still at least a little bit possible... A complete and raw – albeit remastered – recording of the Velena concert from December 1973. A double album featuring a guest appearance by Pavel Zajíček (DG 307) with his legendary Anti! and where the band fully unleashes their original concept of music: both punchy rock songs, happening frescoes, one folk song (Do lesíčka na čekanou), but there are also long improvisations, full of hypnotic bass and free-jazz saxophone. In total 17 tracks on 2 CDs! They don’t add anymore because: “...the cops are coming soon!”

One of the first reactions after the release was a text message from Pavel Zajíček. He didn’t really feel like going “against the tide” of those years (he never really does), but after listening to the CD he wrote to me: “I’m finishing listening... It’s great... Absolutely brilliant on Mejla’s part... The sound is great... Raw... Finished listening. Great job to release this... Greetings!”. So I think further comments are unnecessary... just “Guys, thank you!”.

P.S.: So I won’t allow myself to add another SMS sent to me by Honza Brabec, Plastic’s drummer, who drummed on most of their recordings: “Hi, it's a documentary like a pig, a mystery, nobody ever played like this and never will, thanks.”
