The only album (SACD Hybrid) by Krzysztof Klenczon & Trzy Korony in a limited edition, in the series “Polskie Nagrania Catalogue Selections”. This is the first edition of this album in the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles.

In January 1970, as a result of artistic differences, Krzysztof Klenczon left Czerwone Gitary (Red Guitars) and founded the independent band Trzy Korony (Three Crowns). Its first line-up included Grzegorz Andrian, Ryszard Klenczon (Krzysztof’s cousin) and Marek Ślazyk, who was replaced a few months later by Piotr Stajkowski.

With this line-up, the group recorded in June 1971. A year later, Klenczon emigrated to US America, and Trzy Korony, with a new vocalist Maria Głuchowska, closed down. The album became a must-have in the canon of Polish rock, and the song “10 w skali Beauforta” (10 on the Beaufort Scale) is today one of Krzysztof Klenczon’s best-known songs.

On the occasion of the premiere, one of the musicians of Trzy Korony ,Grzegorz Andrian, recalls the moment of working on the album as follows: “When we entered the Polskie Nagrania studio in June 1971, tired of the long concert tours, we had only ten days to record the album. We ripped the repertoire for this LP during these long tours because there was no time for normal rehearsals. We were tired, but happy. Unfortunately, it took Polskie Nagrania a whole year to release the album!

When the album finally came out, the band no longer existed and Krzysztof was packing up his belongings to leave for US America. None of us would have expected Warner Music to reissue our album fifty years later. So let this album bring back the sound of Trzy Korony to our loyal fans, and let new listeners find something in our music for themselves.”

The album includes three additional recordings: “Twój czas (Your Time), “Kronika podroży” (Journey Chronicle) and “Czyjaś dziewczyna” (Someone’s Girlfriend).
