The first solo album of Ossian’s guitarist and composer Richárd Rubcsics will be released on his 50th birthday in June 2023.

The songs on the album were written, arranged and performed by Ricsi. In addition to the four basic elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air), the album features instrumental guitar orgies in four movements, as well as vocal songs, in which Ricsi stood behind the microphone to interpret his personal lyrics.

There are some real surprises on the album, including two very special stylistic adventures, where Imola Kodolányi’s voice can be heard, and a cover of the jazz classic Autumn Leaves. Ossian’s leader and fellow composer Endre Paksi is a guest on the album for one song and lyrics, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Paksi-Rubcsics Ossian era.

Rubcsics traded his bicycle for his first guitar at the age of 12. Self-taught, he learned to play guitar and then learned styles from musician the Gábor Bussy. He had his first gig at 13 and was only 16 when he joined Neckrofight. He then joined Seneca and then Wellington.

On 14 June 1998, Endre Paksi gave a concert of Ossian songs at the E-Club in Budapest, but as the old members refused to perform, he went on stage with the Wellington line-up.

Rubcsics has been a regular member of Ossian since its rebirth in 1998.
